Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu is setting the international box office on fire. Now, the film is expected to soar high during Pongal weekend.
Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu saw a great start at the box office on its opening day on January 11. As per trade reports, the film even surpassed the Rs 50 crore-mark on Day 1. The film is expected to have a great run at the box office over the Sankranti weekend. It clashed with Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu.
THUNIVU DAY 3 BO COLLECTION
Directed by H Vinoth, Thunivu hit the theatres on January 11, setting the tone for Pongal holidays. The film saw stiff competition at the box office with Varisu and has reportedly earned slightly more than Thalapathy Vijay’s film on Day 3. Not just in India, the film is doing phenomenally well at the international box office. In fact, Thunivu is Ajith’s highest-grossing film of all times.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “Thunivu is now the highest grossing movie of #AK in North America (sic).”

ABOUT THUNIVU
Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth, is produced by Boney Kapoor. The film is a heist thriller with Ajith Kumar playing an anti-hero after Mankatha. Apart from him, Manju Warrier, John Kokken, Amir, Pavni and Bagavathi Perumal play important roles. The film also had a solo release in Telugu as Tegimpu. Cinematographer Nirav Shah, composer Ghibran and editor Vijay Velukutty are part of the technical team. Thunivu is gearing up for a great opening weekend.
